About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Education and Child Development Specialist to join our team at North Bay Children. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and care for children.

Job Summary

The Education and Child Development Specialist will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of diverse, age-appropriate activities that meet the individual developmental needs of children in their care. The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of Community Care Licensing requirements, California Department of Education requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement daily lesson plans that align with the philosophies of North Bay Children and meet the developmental needs of children.
  • Provide warm and positive attention to each child, recognizing and responding to their unique individual needs and cultural backgrounds.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and inviting classroom environment that promotes positive exploration and development.
  • Assist teaching staff in maintaining required supervision of children at all times, adhering to California State Licensing regulations and ratio standards.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with parents through open, responsive communication and facilitation of parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in ECE programs, including experience in infant/toddler development.
  • 24 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development, plus General Education units.
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds and range of movement.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid Driver's License (if transporting children).
Benefits
