Child Development Assistant

About the PositionThis part-time role involves working directly with children and families in their homes, providing behavioral support and implementing individualized plans. As a Child Development Assistant, you will be responsible for engaging with children in activities that promote learning and socialization, collecting and analyzing data on client progress, and collaborating with families to provide a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Implement behavior programs in clients' homes, working collaboratively with families and other professionals.
- Engage with children in activities that promote learning, socialization, and skill-building, using evidence-based practices and creative approaches.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress, identifying areas of strength and challenge, and adjusting plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with families to develop and implement personalized plans, ensuring active participation and empowerment.
- Participate in team meetings and receive ongoing training and mentorship to maintain expertise and best practices.
- A strong background in child development, psychology, education, or related field.
- The ability to establish positive relationships with children and families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to diverse communication styles.
- Flexibility and reliability, with a willingness to work variable schedules and adapt to changing circumstances.
- CPR & First Aid Certification required.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Competitive hourly rate: $20.00 - $23.00.
