The Nurse Practitioner position at Alden Court Skilled Nursing And Rehabilitation provides an opportunity for pre-licensure students to provide entry-level professional nursing care and promote the health of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient care needs and develop care plans based on available evidence and research data.
- Partner with patients, families, peers, and other care providers to deliver continuity of patient care.
- Identify and respond promptly to emergency situations.
- Serve as an advocate for patients, families, peers, and other care providers.
- Apply nursing concepts and principles to meet the needs of assigned patients and families.
- Collaborate with intra and interdisciplinary team members to provide continuity of patient care.
- Provide information and teaching that is appropriate to the patients and families level of understanding.
- Be accountable and responsible for own nursing practice, including systematic evaluation of quality, safety, and effectiveness of patient care practices.
- Accept other appropriate duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of defined goals.
- Recognize and comply with legal, regulatory, accrediting, and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.
- Protect patient privacy and only access patient-related information as needed to perform job duties.
- Engage in training opportunities and attend educational sessions as scheduled.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Novice learner level; must have satisfied school's prerequisites for entering clinical assignment.
- Possess analytical skills sufficient to process information, transfer knowledge from one situation to another, and to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families in a courteous, professional, and therapeutic manner.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
