Job Summary

As a Critical Care Flight Nurse with Air Methods Clinical, you will be responsible for providing high-quality critical care to patients in need of transportation to medical facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing, with the ability to assess, triage, and treat patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide critical care to patients in need of transportation to medical facilities
  • Assess and triage patients to determine the level of care required
  • Treat patients using established standards and guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Document patient care and treatment in a thorough and accurate manner
  • Maintain competency in critical care nursing skills and knowledge
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last 5 years or as required by state/ local EMS regulations
  • Pre-hospital experience preferred
  • Flight experience preferred for full and part-time positions
  • 1 year of full-time flight experience required for per diem (PRN) positions
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed
