US Foods, Inc. seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in maintaining the company's fleet of vehicles. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex diesel equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or equivalent, with a strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, and refrigeration systems. You will possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and drivers.

We offer competitive compensation, including an estimated salary of $26 per hour, plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) starting on day one. Eligible new hires will receive a $5,000 retention bonus. We also provide opportunities for career growth and development, as well as flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends.

Job Description

This is a full-time position requiring a high school diploma or equivalent, with a valid driver's license and a strong mechanical aptitude. The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting and repair of diesel equipment, including engines, transmissions, and refrigeration systems
  • Preventative maintenance, including routine inspections and repairs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
