Diesel Fleet Mechanic

The Diesel Fleet Mechanic is a key position at US Foods, Inc., responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel equipment to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Job Summary:This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities
- Provide road assistance as needed
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years of experience with TK or Refrigeration certification
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously
- Estimated salary: $52,000 per year
- Competitive hourly rate: $26.00 per hour
