Job Title: Data Architect

Lorven Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data management solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and implement data architectures that ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical systems for data reporting and analytics.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure data management solutions align with business objectives.
  • Lead the design, build, and maintenance of data pipelines, including data transformation, data models, schemas, metadata, data quality, and workload management.
  • Guide the re-engineering of data processes to improve overall efficiency and business value.
  • Review and provide feedback on data models and design considerations.
  • Ensure that teams build processes that support effective data management, metadata management, and data quality.
  • Document and socialize findings on technology product evaluations and educate teams on options available and preferences in technology selection.
  • Mentor and coach experienced engineers and provide business inputs and feedback to leadership.
  • Leverage experience with large-scale distributed processing systems to collaborate with architects and handle technology choices and implementation processes across multiple teams.
  • Socialize standard methodologies in secure data management, metadata management, information governance, compliance alignment, and data quality with teams.
  • Build and oversee a team of employees for assigned functional areas through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching, and support, performance management, and managerial activities.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Snowflake and AWS data services, SQL, and No-SQL databases.
  • Deep understanding of property and casualty insurance and modern cloud software development technologies.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed processing systems.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
