We are seeking a proactive Director of Electrical Engineering to guide our skilled R&D Electrical Engineering team.

Job Responsibilities:

The Director of Electrical Engineering will be responsible for the strategic oversight, coordination, and implementation of all initiatives within the Electrical Engineering Division. This crucial position demands a visionary leader who excels in promoting innovation and excellence in engineering methodologies, ensuring our sophisticated systems achieve the utmost standards of performance and dependability. The Director will serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management, Clients, Project Managers, and other team members at Fibertek's R&D facility. In addition to leadership duties, the candidate will play a vital role in the design, integration, and testing of electrical circuits, as well as program management.



Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead a team of over 25 electrical engineers and technicians focused on the design, analysis, and testing of advanced electronic systems.
  • Initiate the development of cutting-edge processes and tools to maintain Fibertek's status as a leading provider of high-quality systems for challenging aerospace and defense applications.
  • Oversee the design, integration, and testing of electrical circuits, with a strong focus on electrical engineering management.
  • Allocate and manage electrical engineering resources across approximately 30 ongoing projects, ensuring effective alignment with project requirements and schedules.
  • Drive the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes for exceptional electrical engineering talent.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of team members, including the implementation of training programs.
  • Manage personnel work plans, conduct performance assessments, and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure technical excellence and quality compliance for all Electrical Engineering outputs.
  • Lead and participate in essential meetings and design reviews within the Electrical Engineering group.
  • Establish and enforce design standards and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Supervise the preparation of program documentation, ensuring technical precision and alignment with system specifications.
  • Contribute to the drafting and refinement of technical proposals.
