Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team at Vanguard. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and optimizing cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in cloud infrastructure and platform concepts, as well as your experience with Terraform, Atmos, and GitHub, will be essential in driving the technical direction and thought leadership of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement new technologies and major releases for critical enterprise-wide IT cloud platform projects.
  • Design, implement, and deploy cloud computing systems to support business needs.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
  • Provide expert-level technical support and ensure reliable operation of cloud production.
  • Develop technical standards, test and evaluate IT vendor products, and review configuration parameters to optimize system performance.
  • Elevate code into development, test, and production environments on schedule.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on processes and technologies.
  • Administer system activities, write technical deliverables, and perform systems analysis.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong software engineering skills to collaborate with platform and development teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and platform concepts, Terraform, Atmos, and GitHub.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure.
