Job Summary:

As a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient flow and managing daily scheduling at our Riverfront Medical Center in Spokane. Your expertise will be essential in providing clinical resources, case management, and direct patient care, including infusion therapy and medication administration. You will work collaboratively with medical providers and administrative leadership to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess patient care needs, develop individualized plans, and prioritize care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of patient response to care, anticipating and recognizing changes in patient status and need for nursing care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement care, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Identify patient lifestyle risk factors and integrate health promotion and preventive aspects of care into the nursing plan.
  • Participate in staff orientation, student education, and continued education programs to meet learning needs and maintain professional standards.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ambulatory care nursing experience
  • Primary nursing or case-management experience
  • Bachelor of Science in nursing
