Eversource Energy is seeking a seasoned Distribution Engineer Leader to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and implementation of distribution engineering strategies, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electricity to our customers.

About the Role

This leadership position involves providing guidance and oversight to our field engineering staff, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing distribution engineering plans and policies
  • Providing technical expertise and support to our field engineers
  • Leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex engineering challenges
  • Maintaining awareness of customer requirements and satisfaction
  • Analyzing workload to ensure availability of resources

You will work closely with our regulatory teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, you will assist in the evaluation and development of new technology, equipment, systems, tools, standards, and procedures to enhance our operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in utility distribution engineering, preferably with supervisory experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, including proficiency in oral and written communications
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and make sound decisions
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

As a leader in this role, you must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required. You may also be required to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
