The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Program Support Technician to provide direct Human Resource program support to staff. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of office practices and procedures, and experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct Human Resource program support to staff
  • Oversee and administer Short Term Disability program
  • Monitor FMLA and Parental Leave compliance
  • Assist with semi-monthly payroll
  • Create employment packets for new hires
  • Create interview packets

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and other individuals
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete tasks in a timely manner

Additional Considerations

  • Experience using office equipment, such as computers, printers, and copiers
  • Background in record keeping
  • Experience using CORIS
  • Some experience in Human Resources in a correctional and/or alternative setting
