Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our clinical team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will provide individual counseling to complex patients, conduct clinical assessments, and design treatment plans. You will also collaborate with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling to highly complex patients
  • Conduct clinical assessments to assess patient treatment needs
  • Design and update patient treatment plans, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
  • Manage assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
  • Collaborate with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
  • Facilitate urine drug screening for patients
Schedule and Hours

Our clinical team enjoys an early morning schedule with early afternoon out times. We expect all clinical team members to participate in our Saturday rotation, which is determined by the current staff count. Expected hours for this role are 37-40 hours per week.

Education and Experience Requirements

Qualified candidates will have general experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting. Lived addiction experience is a plus. No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
