Job Summary:

The Licensed Counselor will provide quality case management and psycho-therapeutic services to individuals with substance abuse or chemical dependency problems. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will support our organization's treatment program and philosophy, ensuring the delivery of quality treatment to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients with substance abuse or chemical dependency problems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in a Human Services field and a minimum of two years' experience as a licensed social worker or a licensed professional counselor.
  • Valid South Carolina licensure as a mental health professional (LMSW, LISW, LPC) required.
  • Strongly prefer at least 2 years experience working in the field of addiction and/or substance abuse.
  • Certification in Addictions is strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of substance abuse dynamics, problems, and treatment modalities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and establish effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, referral sources, and the general public.
