Social Worker - Inpatient Psychiatry LCSW-C PRN

Job Summary:

As a key member of our interdisciplinary team at LifeBridge Health, the Social Worker - Inpatient Psychiatry LCSW-C PRN will play a critical role in coordinating psychosocial assessments and discharge planning for patients receiving inpatient psychiatric services. This position requires a seasoned professional with a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, and a strong understanding of community and healthcare resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized plans for care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and effective discharge planning, including coordination of post-discharge services and community resources.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes and quality of life.
  • Participate in unit and departmental workgroups to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and share best practices.
  • May supervise MSW interns as field instructors, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in inpatient psychiatry.
  • Maryland licensure as an LCSW-C or LCPC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
