Job Title: Medical Unit Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. As a Medical Unit Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Summary:

The Medical Unit Professional will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, promote health education, and support the overall mission of Montefiore Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate nurse to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, policies, and procedures to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements:
  • New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN.
  • Basic Life Support Training.
  • Infection Control Training.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
