Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for our clients.
- Remind clients to take their medications and assist with mobility both inside and outside the home.
- Help clients with transportation to appointments and errands.
- Support clients in physical therapy exercises as directed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Report any unusual occurrences and respond appropriately in emergencies.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote independence and well-being.
Qualifications
- Passion for working in a one-on-one care setting and a desire to learn and grow in the role.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Availability to accommodate client needs, including flexible scheduling.
- Reliable and dependable with a commitment to high-quality care.
- Physical capability to lift and assist clients as needed.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and support in all interactions.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Prior experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred.
- Commitment to upholding health and safety standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience as a caregiver or completion of a CNA program is a plus.
- Hoyer Lift experience is beneficial.
