Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Environmental Services to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the environmental services and linen departments, ensuring that work is completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in the area of EVS, linen, and waste management daily operations
  • Assist the department director in creating and implementing strategies to maintain department goals and key metrics
  • Interact and develop relationships with all stakeholders to better understand needs and provide optimal service
  • Assist in the hiring process, including interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates
  • Responsible for orientation and training of new staff, as well as continued education of existing staff
  • Responsible for leadership development of all supervisors and team leads
  • Perform regular inspections and evaluations of the facility, recommending action items when necessary
  • Responsible for managing floor care operations and scheduling projects
  • Responsible for department inventory and ordering supplies
  • Conduct regular staff huddles and rounds
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three to five years of leadership experience in a hospital setting required
  • Knowledge of floor care maintenance preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to maintain organization in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint presentation skills required
