Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Advocate Representative to join our team at Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions. As a Patient Advocate Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and support throughout their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough interviews with patients and/or family members to assess their eligibility for various government and non-government programs.
  • Identify and pursue all potential sources of payment, including auto insurance, workers' compensation, commercial insurance, private insurance, and other relevant programs.
  • Obtain and complete confidential financial statements and assist patients in applying for benefits for which they may be eligible.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, hospital staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Perform financial clearance functions, including collections, and prepare accounts for financial assistance review.
  • Follow up on assigned accounts to ensure timely follow-through on government applications and develop a working relationship with patients based on excellent communication skills.
  • Conduct field visits to patient homes for skip tracing and/or assisting patients with documents.
  • Notify hospital case management, social services, and admissions staff of case screening determinations and outcomes via verbal and written communication.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and county program regulations.
  • Proficiency in PC systems, including Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a clear understanding of the English language.
  • Detail-oriented with strengths in dealing with multiple facilities, supervisors, and hospital platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with efficiency.
  • Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in social services, hospital admitting, or a related field.
Work Environment

The work environment for this role will be both in hospital and office settings, with direct contact with patients and staff.

Compensation and Benefits

Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary of $29.50 per hour, shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, and more.
