Position Overview:

Role Responsibilities:
The incumbent will serve as the Intelligence Lead for the Assault Breaker II (ABII) program within the Department of Defense, specifically in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Mission Capabilities (OASD(MC)). This role is crucial in integrating cutting-edge technologies with innovative military strategies to address challenges in complex environments.

The Analyst will:

  • Guide a team of intelligence experts to cultivate a culture of strategic innovation.
  • Evaluate international scenarios and devise strategic solutions that influence broader policy decisions.
  • Conduct empirical research to validate hypotheses and inform policy directions.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure alignment with national intelligence standards and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee significant intelligence studies that have a profound impact on the intelligence community.
  • Lead administrative reforms in intelligence collection, production, and dissemination processes.

Conditions of Employment:
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. Males born after a certain date must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. Salary varies based on the position's location. Candidates may need to complete a probationary period and must be deemed suitable for federal employment. Participation in the direct deposit program is required, and the position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. A TS/SCI security clearance is necessary, and occasional travel (up to 35%) may be required.

Qualifications:
To qualify, applicants should possess:

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III (GS-13) level in the Federal service.
  • Expertise in U.S. Government intelligence processes and a thorough understanding of the operational landscape.
  • Experience in leading intelligence teams and collaborating with various defense organizations.
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence activities supporting joint military operations.
  • Strong managerial judgment and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings effectively to executive-level audiences.

Education:
Education cannot substitute for experience.

Additional Information:
