The role of the Senior Resiliency Program Manager involves overseeing significant projects in collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and managing ongoing and future contracts within the Office of District Resiliency.

The primary objective of these initiatives is to mitigate the impacts of flooding, rising sea levels, and other climate-related challenges on water resources while enhancing community and ecosystem resilience in South Florida.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading large-scale, multi-jurisdictional planning efforts, modeling, and data analysis.
  • Managing project delivery processes and coordinating diverse teams on high-priority projects aligned with the District's strategic goals.
  • Collaborating with the Chief of District Resiliency to ensure project objectives are met through effective resource utilization and workflow management.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience in managing planning and construction projects, particularly in partnership with federal agencies.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with a results-driven approach.

In this position, the Senior Resiliency Program Manager will be expected to:

  • Present project analyses and status updates to senior management.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders, addressing feedback and defending project initiatives.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring cohesive implementation across disciplines.

Additionally, the role requires:

  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Ability to influence decision-making and resolve conflicts among stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget development and monitoring, as well as identifying critical success factors.

Overall, the Senior Resiliency Program Manager will play a crucial role in driving the District's resiliency objectives through strategic project management and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a Master's degree with substantial experience.
  • Experience in project management and related business roles.
  • Knowledge of South Florida's resiliency challenges and planning efforts is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

This position may involve emergency management responsibilities during significant storm events.
