Responsibilities- Pre-Treatment Preparation
- Prepare dialysis machines, alarms, and treatment supplies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Treatment Delivery
- Perform hemodialysis treatments according to facility policies and procedures.
- Patient Education and Support
- Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching to promote optimal care.
- Monitoring and Assessment
- Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physicians and families.
- Medication Administration
- Administer and chart all prescribed medications as directed.
- Infection Control
- Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations to ensure a safe environment.
- Team Collaboration
- Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews to ensure continuity of care.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Document required patient education efforts and maintain accurate records.
- Leadership and Training
- Lead a small patient care team and contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.
