Job Summary


Dungarvin is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide support and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide hands-on assistance and support to individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, mobility, and daily routines.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of the individuals we serve, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized support plans, addressing the unique needs and goals of each individual.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with disabilities.

Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a direct support or caregiving role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move with flexibility, as well as work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
