Position: Culinary Specialist

Employment Type: Part-time / Hourly

Department: Food Services

Reporting To: Food Truck Kitchen Supervisor

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Culinary Specialist to join our dynamic food truck team. This role is vital in delivering exceptional culinary experiences in a high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize assigned cooking stations
  • Execute food preparation tasks efficiently
  • Cook and present food items according to established recipes and standards
  • Process transactions for food truck sales
  • Communicate preparation needs to kitchen staff
  • Participate actively in line service
  • Maintain high food quality standards
  • Clean and organize workstations at the end of shifts
  • Complete assigned cleaning duties as per schedule
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols consistently
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere
  • Assist in training new culinary team members
  • Engage in quality assurance practices
  • Support special preparation and research initiatives

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced food service environment
  • Dynamic kitchen and service area
  • Varied hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and move items up to 55 lbs safely
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Vision abilities including close and distance vision
