Job Summary:

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. This position requires a unique blend of athletic training expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to design and implement effective injury prevention and wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Site-Specific Wellness Initiatives: Design and implement evidence-based wellness programs to promote employee health and well-being.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Wellness Assessments: Perform thorough assessments to identify areas of risk and develop targeted interventions to mitigate those risks.
  • Provide First-Aid Treatment and Management: Provide immediate care for musculoskeletal complaints and manage injuries in accordance with state practice acts.
  • Coordinate Treatment Plans: Collaborate with employees, supervisors, and healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary.
  • Communicate Effectively: Regularly communicate with safety personnel, supervisors, and employees to ensure seamless implementation of injury prevention and wellness initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications: Board of Certification (BOC) certified, state licensure/certification, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of athletic training experience, preferably in an industrial or occupational health setting.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with clients and employees, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
