About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist to provide remote therapy services in Alaska. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to diagnose and treat speech and language disorders virtually, collaborating with school teams and families to ensure student success in Alaska unique learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual assessments and create personalized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Deliver high-quality teletherapy sessions using Alaska-specific digital tools, ensuring seamless communication with educators and families.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to integrate therapy goals into the virtual classroom and home life, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Regularly monitor student progress and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, demonstrating a commitment to student-centered care.
  • Stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology, leveraging knowledge of Alaska-specific needs to inform your work.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and communication, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification as a Certified Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • State licensure in Alaska or eligibility to practice in the state.
  • Prior experience in school-based speech-language pathology is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in utilizing teletherapy platforms, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and educators.
