We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Fluor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment in our 24/7 mission critical facility.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance, replacement, or repair of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
- Working from schematics, blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system, mechanical control systems, or equipment.
- Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments to perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
- Complying with all key work processes required by the company and customer, and documenting any deficiencies while overseeing customer systems to ensure no impact to their daily mission.
- Participating in job-specific training, presentations, modules, qualification tests, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Performing various switching/isolation procedures to mitigate any unexpected operational issues or to prepare systems for maintenance activities by vendors or in-house O&M personnel.
- Providing timely assistance to plant operators and/or other O&M personnel when required.
- Maintaining compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
- Planning, organizing, and carrying out assignments as directed, including effective use of building controls systems, discussion of system operations with Building Operators, preventative maintenance tasks, and organization of a maintenance switching event for major equipment shutdown/isolation.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- General knowledge of the electrical trade, with rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
- Substantial work on various control systems, including experience in understanding, troubleshooting, and repairing power supplies, sensors, internal control components, variable frequency drives, motor control centers, and building control systems and networks.
- Ability to work from schematics, blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
- Ability to use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
