Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sanitation Operations Manager to join our team at Talnt. As a key member of our sanitation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our food manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitation Supervision: Supervise and coordinate sanitation personnel to ensure proper cleaning of machinery and equipment, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Scheduling and Task Management: Develop and maintain sanitation schedules, assign tasks to personnel, and document completed work on the Master Sanitation Sheet.
  • Accident Investigation and Prevention: Promote a safe working environment, conduct accident investigations as necessary, and implement measures to prevent future incidents.
  • Chemical Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of chemicals, track usage, and order supplies as needed.
  • Disciplinary Actions and Employee Development: Implement and document disciplinary actions, review employee timecards, manage attendance reports, and assist in the development of sanitation staff.
  • New Hire Onboarding: Onboard new hires effectively, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all onboarding areas.
  • Standard Operating Procedures and Key Performance Indicators: Create, maintain, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the sanitation department.
  • Employee Evaluations and Development: Perform employee evaluations annually and continuously assist in the development of sanitation staff.
  • Interdepartmental Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments and managers regarding shift-to-shift issues and sanitation concerns.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations in food manufacturing.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in sanitation with at least 1 year in a production environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred, strong communication skills in English, basic reading, writing, and math skills, knowledge of safety and labor laws, experience with food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment, strong leadership skills, experience with creating and managing training matrices and KPIs, familiarity with manufacturing equipment and processes, strong problem-solving abilities.
