About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead new model projects to mass production in the stamping department at American Honda Motor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all project targets are achieved in each of the SQDCM categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage SQDCM project targets, manage MMC based investment/expense items, and support new model department investigation items.
  • Prepare and present new model presentations, including developing and presenting all 'WAR' documents per plant direction.
  • Lead department line trial events, coordinating and supporting try, build events, die delivery schedules with Forming groups, Weld, Plant, and PEBU.
  • Assure all Forming Training of all affected associates per project, verify mass production baskets in house before mass production, and verify quality database is setup.
Requirements
  • BSME, BSEE, or equivalent experience required.
  • 2-8 years of experience based on education.
  • Verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects to ensure deliverables are achieved.
  • Computer skills, including ACAD, CATIA, and Office programs.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data at the spot.
  • Hands-on support of equipment.
  • Ability to create and track project schedules.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to function in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly.
Work Environment
  • Office and production floor.
  • Weekend and daily overtime estimated 5-10 hours per week.
  • Travel 1-2 times per year as needed.
