The Supervisor, Patient Accounts is a key role within the Revenue Cycle team at WMCHealth. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Department, focusing on revenue cycle functions such as billing, collections, accounts receivables, and customer service/collections for patients.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff technical competencies.
- Assist in preparing monthly management reports, providing key revenue and operational metrics and analysis.
- Effectively manage staff, communicate with internal departments and insurance vendors, and create schedules to achieve production and quality goals.
- Implement and supervise policies and procedures to ensure accuracy of data on all documents and bills to third-party billing companies, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, field and address concerns, and adhere to HIPAA laws.
- Identify areas for process improvement, monitor key performance metrics, and understand trends and system issues.
- Minimum 3 years AR/Acute billing experience and leadership role.
- High School/GED required, Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field preferred.
- Proficient in Kronos, Patient Management System(s), payer websites, medical terminology, Medicare medical necessity, and commercial authorizations.
