About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Elderwood. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all facility areas, including resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
  • Assist with the movement of personal belongings of residents and clean and disinfect floors, furniture, beds, and bathrooms according to established procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain vigilance concerning fire regulations and hazards.
  • Practice infection control principles in cleaning methods and personal hygiene.
  • Store cleaning compounds and hazardous substances properly to protect residents and staff.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and other refuse in a manner that prevents the transmission of disease and does not create a nuisance or fire hazard.
Requirements
  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, and/or laundry experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
