About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead projects, solving complex problems and taking a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Oversee patient care teams and coordinate care plans, ensuring patient safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards are met.
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and team members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, advocating for patients and resolving ethical and clinical concerns.
  • Accurately document patient encounters and protect patient health information.
  • Adhere to infection prevention initiatives and deliver competent care with emphasis on good customer relations and evidence-based practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • CCRN preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
