**Key Responsibilities:**

* Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist as needed
* Properly identifies and assists patients, explaining procedures and documenting on appropriate worksheets
* Interviews patients for a complete medical history, reviewing EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history
* Prepares and administers IV contrast according to departmental protocols
* Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a Radiologist if needed
* Performs basic patient care functions, informing nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition
* Maintains knowledge and skills required to work safely in an environment that can create significant exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease

**Requirements:**

* Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
* ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI
* Current CPR certification

**Physical Requirements:**

**Education, Experience and Certifications:**

* Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology

* Current CPR certification
