Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Petmate. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving industrial processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of Process Engineers to improve machine uptime and plant-level production processes.
  • Execute analysis, evaluation, and implementation of various manufacturing processes, equipment, and programs to support increased efficiencies, uptime, and safety.
  • Apply technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems, make decisions on process design, and troubleshoot issues that arise during project execution.
  • Plan, budget, schedule, and monitor resource allocation for a team of Engineers across multiple shifts.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for process design, including process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and operating instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical, Polymer, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or equivalent from accredited university.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a Mid-High Volume Manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience at production floor level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling/drafting software, including FEA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Plastics Industry experience (Stretch Blow Molding, Injection Molding, Extrusion Blow Molding).
  • Tooling/mold design experience.
  • Experience documenting work instructions within a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
