Job Title: SMT Process Engineer

At Salcomp Manufacturing USA, we are seeking a highly skilled SMT Process Engineer to join our team. As an SMT Process Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating, implementing, and monitoring processes and operating systems for the SMT department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, implement, and monitor SMT processes and operating systems
  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance for SMT equipment
  • Monitor and improve efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes
  • Communicate with supervisors and peers to resolve issues
  • Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and safety rules are followed
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in manufacturing environment with BS in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience with SMT processes and equipment
  • Ability to program, setup, and load circuit boards onto machines
  • Ability to follow direction from management
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation
  • Working knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD001 workmanship criteria
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485
  • Computer proficiency: learn and use ERP system; ability to program and troubleshoot SMT equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Working Conditions:
  • Works in an ESD manufacturing environment
  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 20lbs
  • Stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching outward and over their head
  • This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary
  • May require occasional travel
