Job Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed nurses to provide basic nursing care to students. This includes taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
Responsibilities:- Provide basic nursing care to students, including taking vital signs and administering medications
- Assist students with daily living activities, such as bathing and dressing
- Monitor and record client-related outcomes and observations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, parents, students, and medical professionals
- Work within guidelines established by District policies and/or grants
- Be listed on the Illinois Department of Public Health's Health Care Worker Registry (HCWR) as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Have current CPR certification
- Working knowledge of community, medical, and social services resources
- Ability to provide culturally competent care
The hourly wage for this position is determined based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Educational Support Professionals. The District gives experienced employees up to 20 years of credit for service outside the District if it is directly related to their position. 100% of an employee's contributions to IMRF are currently paid by the Board of Education. The Board also pays 100% of employee-only health and term life insurance. There is a minimal employee cost for vision insurance. Dental is also available at competitive rates to interested employees.
