Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telehealth Nurse Specialist to join our team at St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center. As a key member of our Tele Tech unit, you will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and oxygen saturation levels, obtaining ECG strips, and reporting arrhythmias to the RN responsible for patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and oxygen saturation levels using Phillips equipment
  • Obtain baseline ECG strips on all monitored patients according to department guidelines
  • Record post-cardiac strips following established procedures
  • Update and verify patient data in the information system
  • Maintain unit/department specific records as assigned
  • Recognize rhythms with potential to alter patient physiology and obtain ECG strips as needed
  • Report arrhythmias to the RN responsible for patient care
  • Maintain current knowledge of technical operations and capabilities of monitoring station
  • Respond appropriately to alarms and identify/troubleshoot routine technical problems
  • Handle incoming/outgoing communication and answer questions from staff
  • Provide accurate shift reports relating to patient condition and rhythm status
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work with Phillips equipment
  • Unit/department specific orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
  • Minimum 5 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
  • Holiday requirement: Yes
Additional Information

The unit uses a Team Nursing Model and is considered traveler-friendly. We encourage applicants to be flexible with scheduling and willing to fill gaps in permanent scheduling.
