Patient Care Tech Role Summary

The Patient Care Tech at Powers Health provides essential patient care and functions as a certified nurse assistant. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a team-focused and energizing position on a nursing floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides basic care to patients under hospital policies and procedures.
  • Responds to patient requests, answers call lights, and telephones.
  • Assists with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Collects and labels specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and aseptic environment in assigned work areas.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course or one year of satisfactory work performance as a nurse assistant.
  • Current valid State certification is strongly recommended.
  • Maintains current CPR Certification.
