About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Trio Student Support Services program at the University of Cincinnati. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising program activities and outcomes in accordance with federal regulations and program objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement program activities and outcomes in accordance with federal regulations and program objectives.
  • Oversee participant recruitment and selection process.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for professional, graduate, and undergraduate staff.
  • Manage program budgets, including monitoring, planning, and expenditures.
  • Lead and consult in the application and writing process of future UCBA TRIO-SSS Program grants.
  • Maintain accurate data and documentation of all program participants and complete the Annual Performance Report (APR) to the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Advise prospective and current participants on academic strategies for success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Nine years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
  • Five years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in student affairs, social work, counseling, higher education, or a similar field.
  • Minimum three years' experience in higher education administration, academic, and/or counseling capacity, program design, project management, strategic planning, and evaluation at the college level.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to first-generation students, and/or students from historically underrepresented groups in higher education and a demonstrated ability to effectively advise and advocate for those students from the target population in a college setting.
