Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Veterans Health Administration as a Neurology Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to Veterans with dementia and other memory disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient neurologic consultations and develop treatment plans for Veterans with dementia and other memory disorders.
  • Collaborate with other cognitive specialists, including neurologists, geriatricians, and social workers, to manage dementia patients.
  • Participate in research projects under the umbrella of the VA Brain Health Center and National Coordinating Center for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias.
  • Refer patients to subspecialists as needed, including those with epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, and multiple sclerosis.
Requirements
  • Must be a licensed physician with a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree.
  • Must have completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Preferred experience in clinical research and fellowship training in cognitive neurology.
