Job SummaryWhittier Rehab Hospital seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborating with the patient care team to drive patients to their goals. You will be responsible for evaluating, documenting, and implementing treatment plans under the direction of a physician. Your expertise will include mechanical vent maintenance, ABG's, oxygen and aerosol therapy, airway maintenance, and pulmonary hygiene. You will also dispense respiratory medication as ordered by the physician, taking into account drug effectiveness, side effects, and contraindications. The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. or A.S. in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program, a CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care, and current licensure by the Division of Registration, Board of Respiratory Care, Commonwealth of MA. Certification in BLS for the Healthcare provider is also required. You will have knowledge, experience, and competency in dealing with adult rehabilitation and geriatric age groups.
