Recovery Support Advocate

Are you a dedicated and empathetic individual passionate about helping others navigate their challenges and achieve a state of wellness? We are currently in search of a Recovery Support Advocate who can offer guidance and motivation to individuals, teams, and groups working towards enhanced health.

Certification as a Recovery Support Advocate is essential, with opportunities available for certification through Winds of Change.

Prior experience in managing significant mental health issues or dual diagnosis is a crucial aspect of this position. The ability to effectively draw upon personal experiences to connect and uplift those in need is highly regarded. Join us in our mission to positively influence individuals as they progress on their path to recovery.

Compensation:
$17.50 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Provide transportation for clients to their appointments when necessary
  • Facilitate recovery-oriented group activities
  • Evaluate and assess barriers to independent or community living
  • Enhance communication skills in individuals
  • Implement strategies to manage symptoms effectively
  • Assist individuals in building social support networks
  • Adapt skills for various life areas such as home, work, education, leisure, and social interactions
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention
  • Complete required training, both in-person and online
  • Document daily activities and progress
  • Meet productivity standards
  • Cover shifts at group homes as needed, including day, evening, and overnight shifts
  • Schedule and attend necessary meetings
  • Maintain consistent attendance

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (State requirement for licensing)
  • Must possess a current driver's license, transportation, and automobile insurance
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality
  • Must hold your Peer Support certification
