Senior Chemist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist to join our dynamic team at Beacon Hill. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of pharmaceutical compounds, contributing to the advancement of our product pipeline.

This position requires a deep understanding of organic and analytical chemistry, as well as experience in regulatory compliance and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct experiments to synthesize new pharmaceutical compounds and improve existing formulations.
  • Analyze and interpret data using advanced analytical techniques, including HPLC, NMR, and GC-MS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, formulation, and quality assurance, to advance projects from conception to clinical development.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, including research reports, regulatory submissions, and patents.
  • Mentor and train junior chemists and laboratory staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including GLP and GMP practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements, integrating new techniques and technologies into research and development processes.
Qualifications:


Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Strong background in organic chemistry and experience with medicinal chemistry principles.

Proficiency in analytical techniques and instrumentation.

Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
