Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing data packages, including assembly instructions, workflow, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs.
  • Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes.
  • Analyze and resolve non-conforming material issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cycle time, reduce ergonomic risks, and automate processes using Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision making.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, both in-house and in the supply base.
  • Design and develop tools and fixtures to improve ergonomics and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
  • Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence and ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques.
  • Technical drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools, preferably CREO/ProE.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software.
  • Experience in Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Manufacturing and automated tooling, machinery, and programming.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to work across disciplines.
  • Experience with handheld measurement tools, standard methods of inspection, and part verification.
  • Innovative mindset and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Current DoD security clearance (secret).
