Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Raytheon, you will play a critical role in developing and improving manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements. You will analyze product specifications, design and implement manufacturing processes, and collaborate with various teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing processes
  • Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
  • Drive continuous improvement through process improvements, reducing cycle time, and automating processes
  • Provide technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, both in-house and in the supply base
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail
  • Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques
  • Technical drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools, preferably CREO/ProE
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software
  • Experience in Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Manufacturing and automated tooling, machinery, and programming
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
  • Experience with handheld measurement tools, standard methods of inspection, and part verification
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
