Mechanical Engineer

Babcock & Wilcox is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Field Service Representative. As a Field Service Representative, you will provide technical support and expertise to our customers on a broad range of B&W utility, industrial, and environmental products. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting more experienced Service Engineers in performing pre-commissioning testing on boilers and environmental equipment, developing start-up schedules and procedures, and working on the maintenance, inspection, and operations of existing equipment to achieve reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting and evaluating field data.
- Working with customers, account executives, vendors, and sublet vendors with assistance and guidance from the District Engineer or a senior engineer.
- Preparing technical reports, including Service and Special Reports and Estimates and Proposals.
- Working as part of a team on project startups and during outages.
- Providing construction technical support and outage management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or similar Engineering Technology.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- A self-starter with good communication skills and the ability to work with others.
- Ability and desire to travel.
