Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and services to our residents, including screenings, evaluations, and treatments as prescribed by our attending physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Screenings and Evaluations: Conduct thorough screenings and evaluations to identify the needs and goals of our residents, and develop effective treatment plans to address their unique challenges.
  • Treatment and Therapy: Provide individualized treatment and therapy sessions to our residents, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of resident care, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments, and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance our team's skills and capabilities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program, and a minimum of two years of experience in the field, with one year of experience in geriatric care.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and a valid New York State license or eligibility.
