We are seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist who will embody the passion and commitment required to deliver the ultimate care for our residents.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency.
  • Two years' experience in Speech Language Pathology, one year geriatric related experience.
  • New York State License or eligibility and current certification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform screens, evaluations, and provide treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
  • Recognize and address the physical, psychosocial, and emotional changes that occur at different stages in life.
  • Communicate clearly and comprehensively with residents, patients, and family members.
  • Evaluate and treat residents under physician order, maintaining accurate record keeping.
  • Consult with the resident, family members, attending physician, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Act as Clinical Instructor, providing education and supervision to SLP students.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with current regulatory requirements and revising clinical and administrative policies.
