POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineering Project Specialist plays a crucial role in providing administrative assistance to the Field Supervision and Management teams. This role involves updating schedules, managing toolbox discussions, and tracking material quantities. Additionally, the position encompasses elements of bidding, estimating, and overall project oversight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following list is representative and not exhaustive of all tasks that may be assigned.

  • Deliver project and administrative assistance to Field Supervision and Management.
  • Support pre-bid site evaluations, quantity take-offs, contract initiation, and project completion.
  • Maintain equipment schedules for Superintendents.
  • Organize and uphold Superintendent documentation for each project, including Tool Box Talks.
  • Comprehend and input necessary data into Heavy Job, HCSS, and Timberline systems.
  • Update and manage material quantities.
  • Transport parts, tools, and documentation for ongoing projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This role necessitates a solid understanding of project management within a construction environment. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in construction project management or a similar capacity. Students actively pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word; familiarity with Timberline and HeavyJob is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accurate data entry capabilities.
  • Moderate analytical skills for problem-solving.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with teams and other departments.
