Salary Range: $58,500 - $70,200

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineering Project Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the management and field supervision teams. This position involves updating schedules, conducting toolbox discussions, and managing material quantities. Additionally, the role encompasses elements of bidding, estimating, and overseeing project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are representative of the tasks that may be assigned:

  • Offer administrative and project support to management and field supervision.
  • Assist in pre-bid site evaluations, quantity take-offs, contract initiation, and project closeout processes.
  • Maintain equipment schedules for site supervisors.
  • Organize and manage essential documentation for each project, including toolbox discussions.
  • Utilize software tools such as Heavy Job, HCSS, and Timberline for project management.
  • Update and track material quantities effectively.
  • Facilitate the pickup and delivery of tools, parts, and necessary paperwork for ongoing projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of project management within a construction environment. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience in construction project management or a similar capacity. Students currently pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering or Construction Management are encouraged to apply.

  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word; familiarity with Timberline and HeavyJob is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accurate data entry and attention to detail.
  • Moderate analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
  • Able to collaborate with teams and other departments.
